The goal of the Providers at Colonial Pediatrics is to provide the highest quality compassionate, comprehensive medical care for children, from infancy through adolescence. We strive for excellence. Our staff is friendly and well trained. Our office is newly renovated and clean. We are working on having the latest medical technology to be able to provide the most comprehensive healthcare available.

          The philosophy of the practice is to foster the development of effective and independent parenting skills based on accurate, current information and the use of common sense and reason. Extremely important to the providers is that the parents and older children learn about issues of growth, development, behavior, preventive health and management of illness. Armed with information rather than myth or "old wives' tale", the parent becomes more comfortable, confident, and capable of dealing with the vast array of issues that present on a daily basis in the upbringing of children.

          Dr. Kirlis strives to keep up with the latest evidence based studies and treatments by attending continuing medical education courses whenever possible. She provides inpatient care as well as newborn nursery services and is well versed in all aspects of child growth, development, and disease states of children. She is happy to follow on children for ADHD, obesity, diabetes, and asthma.

          We follow the AAP and CDC recommendations for well child care, preventative medicine and immunizations. We provide allergy testing here and will administer allergy shots if they are needed. We have a comprehensive lab that is able to provide rapid testing for strep throat, RSV, the flu and mono as well as urinalysis, blood counts, etc.

          Our office has grown rapidly! We welcome feedback from our patients and their parents on how we can better serve you and this community. We will soon be hiring another pediatrician to improve access to care here at our facility.
