LABORATORY

          In most practices, when a doctor orders lab tests, you may have had to go to another location for drawing, and then wait for the results to be communicated back to your Physician. Here at Colonial Family Practice, we have the ability to draw blood and test most specimens in house, eliminating some of the wait and travel you may have experienced elsewhere in the past. This in-house flexibility allows your Physician to more effectively diagnose ailments including but not limited to diabetes, hypertension, thyroid deficiency, anemia, elevated Cholesterol, and prostate blood test.

Some of the routine tests that are performed in-house are listed below:

• Basic Metabolic Panel
• Complete Blood Cell Count
• Thyroid Testing
• Liver Function Testing
• PSA
• Pregnancy Testing
• Flu & Strep Testing
• Blood Sugar Testing
• Blood, Urine, and Stool

           In addition to the routine tests above, we also perform some specialized testing such as Allergy Testing and Shortness of Breath Testing.

          We partner with LabCorp for certain tests. Sometimes, certain insurance companies may require us to have your test done in an outside lab. Even though the testing is done in an outside Lab, most times you have the convenience of having your blood drawn at Colonial.
