One morning in April I found my 16 year old son lying on the floor doubled over in the fetal position, complaining of his stomach hurting. On the way to work I dropped him off at Colonial Family Practice to be examined. An hour later I received a call from Dr. Gunsky and his nurse Erica to inform me of some tests they wanted to run due to an elevated white blood cell count and concerns for his appendix. After performing a CT on my son, I was told that he needed to get to the hospital as soon as possible. While we were on our way, Dr. Grunsky had already contacted the day surgical clinic to update them and I was able to provide them with a copy of his CT results on CD. In 30 to 40 minutes my son was being pushed down the hall to the operating room for an appendectomy.
I am forever thankful for Dr. Grunsky, Erica and the Colonial Family Practice team for their personal care and attention to detail to ensure my son was quickly diagnosed and cared for in a timely fashion. I am also grateful that Dr. Grunsky took the time to personally contact me to let me know what was going on, and for contacting the hospital to inform them of my son’s condition. He is truly a doctor who cares and listens to his patients. My son owes his life to Dr. Grunsky and his team, and I feel my family medical needs could not be in better hands!
